Kuramayama is a mountain located in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. In 796 or 770, Kuramadera Temple, whose principal deity is Bishamonten, was built on the southern hillside of Kurama Mountain. The temple has long been known for its cherry blossoms in the spring and autumn leaves in the fall.
